Privacy-focused messaging app Signal is adding new features for video calls, including links, reactions, and a call tab, to become an alternative to Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, according to TechCrunch.

Signal, one of the best encrypted messenger apps currently available, also just become a really solid alternative to Zoom and Google Meet. Although Signal has supported group video calls since 2020, the app has now added useful features to make it much more usable as a video conferencing tool.

Signal is making a bunch of improvements to calls so they are more competitive with Zoom and Google Meet, including the ability to share a link to a call.

The ability to share secure links for video calls is just one of the privacy-focused messaging app's new features.
