CINCINNATI, Ohio (WKRC) - Love for Pete Rose has no borders and fans traveled from near and far on Sunday to pay tribute to their hero. Tony Lin grew up in Taiwan but moved to the Queen City in the 80s just in time to become a huge fan of Pete Rose.

Thousands of fans have streamed into Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati despite steady rain to pay respects to Pete Rose.

Sunday’s rainy weather did not stop fans from remembering Major League Baseball’s Hit King. Cincinnati Reds legend Pete Rose was honored Sunday with a 14-hour-long memorial at Great American Ball Park. The Reds shared photos on social media.

Visitors wishing to bring flowers, memorabilia, or other mementos honoring Pete Rose are asked to leave them at the Pete Rose statue on Crosley Terrace. Additionally, the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum presented by Dinsmore will offer free admission on Sunday during normal operating hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
